In the afternoon we joined hoards of Chinese tourists sightseeing around Tashilunpo Monastery. It really was horrifyingly crowded, but by staying late the visit turned rewarding.

Evening prayer time in the assembly hall; in fact this is only one of the services,
there is another assembly closed to tourists - Jamie

At the end of assembly their job is now to pose for tourists,
and is perhaps better than trying to escape the cameras? - Jamie
