Did I tell you I love shooting around Lhasa?

5 Sept - Sera Monastery

Together with Drepung Monastery, these were the main training centres for lamas in Lhasa. Sera is now famous for the debating training in the afternoons. Monks are asked philosophical questions and have to answer quickly, and accurately. It is also a tourist highlight, perhaps the monks are used to being filmed by now?

Back to the hotel

It is around a 15 minute walk from the front of the Jokhang to Hotel Himalaya, but it usually takes me a little longer...

The Uighers or at least Muslims, are the butchers in Lhasa as most Tibetans will not kill, although they are happy to eat meat - Jamie

A lot of the meat is yak, and often some hair is left on the the leg so that you can tell it isn't horse - Jamie
