6 May Everest Peace Project sherpas to North Col

While the team members are at BC for a few days recovering the sherpas and myself are staying at ABC. The sherpas planned a big load carry up to 8300m, the highest camp, and a VERY tough climb. First they carried loads up to North Col 7000m, where they slept the night. Then they carried higher.

7 May Everest Peace Project sherpa load carry

This is the satisfying part of my job. Today six of the EPP sherpas carried loads to Camp 3, well done!

This is equivalent to climbing the sixth highest mountain on earth, Cho Oyu, but carrying a load to the top. Extreme.

The snow triangle behind is just above the third step, and the actual summit is slightly behind out of view.
