Nepal visa info

Nepal welcomes tourists and makes it easy to enter, the easiest way is to get the visa on arrival.

Nepal visa on arrival

At the airport a single entry visa valid for 60 days costs US$30 CASH and one passport photo is needed (if you forget to bring they have a camera at the counter and charge $5 or so). I repeat the visa fee is payable in CASH only, all major currencies! No credit cards. There is no double entry option at the airport; instead you simply get another visa when you come back into Nepal from Tibet.

Tibet (China) visa

Tibet is part of China and is a sensitive region hence the regulations are different from mainland China.

Tibet (Chinese) visa info

To visit Tibet from Nepal requires a special visa and multiple permits. We arrange these for you as part of our service and to do this we need copy of your passport details page when you book.

Please send us a digital picture or scan only of the details page, format as a JPEG file of less than 250kb in size. You can scan your passport or take a digital picture. Use the lowest resolution settings (ie to make the smallest file size) and that should work. If you have a problem with this email Jamie for more details. Jamie can also take a large file and make it usable for us.

Once you arrive in Nepal we take your passport to the Chinese Embassy for the visa to be handed over.

Please note that you do NOT need to acquire the Chinese visa from your country. If you do have one, this will be cancelled when we get your visa.
