GHT India ExplorationThe GHT is a trail from one end of the Himalaya to the other The Great Himalaya Trail promises to become one of the great long distance paths of the world but so far only the Nepal section of the ~4500km trail from Namche Barwa to Nanga Parbat has been researched on foot.
The Great Himalaya Trail is a challenging, long-distance trekking route through some of the most breathtaking mountain landscapes on earth. It is made up of a network of existing trails and trade routes that connect neglected valleys and ridges between and beyond the established trekking areas of Annapurna, Langtang, and Everest in Nepal.
Outline itineraryAs part of the philosophy the GHT follows a path as close as possible to the main Himalaya Range, so features some challenging trekking.
