Expedition conclusionThis was not our most successful expedition but at least everyone came back. It was a dangerous year on Gasherbrum II, several climbers died (on other teams) and no commercial team summitted - indeed the only summits were a small group of Swiss guides very late in the season, who had to take a route variation to avoid dangerous snow. Our lack of serious attempts on the mountainsWith a lot of questioning from the team I feel that a bit of justification is needed, already given verbal of course, and repeated here. To come...
